Agnesa Ivanova Petrova is a Bulgarian artist. She studied in the National Academy of Arts, Sofia, Bulgaria and holds a Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Fine Arts. She is a member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists and from 2021 to 2024 was director of the Shenzhen New Space Public Art Institute in China. She has participated and has created monumental works in 78 international sculpture events in 29 countries. She created monumental works in the following materials: 49 works in stone, 15 in wood, 6 in metal and 7 in other materials. Agnessa Petrova has a number of awards, the most important of which are: Bronze medal from the “Fourth International Exhibition of Monumental Sculpture – Wuhu, China – 2014”; Silver medal from the International Sculpture Exhibition “Man and Nature” 2017 Zhengzhou, China 2017; Finalist award in the “Sculpture Exhibition of the Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games”, Beijing 2022 and Third prize in the “Sanya Sculpture Competition 2022”, China. She completed her master’s degree with an award for the best presented graduate. There are numerous publications about her work, the most important of which are: Article about the artist in the international sculpture magazine “Stone Ideas” in 2019 and an interview for the Canadian magazine “Pacific Sculpture Magazine” in 2014.
